We laughed, Catherine cried, we all had fun. Tomorrow we head back home for a few days (we’re literally only going to be back home for three full days), then we’re off to Alaska! So much to do, so little time.
Yesterday Thomas and I went to the Space Center one last time (at least for 2009, I have a feeling we’ll end up here again).
Here’s Thomas in a simulator.
There was a large inflatable obstacle course this time (they had a George Lucas theme going on, this must have been for Indiana Jones). Thomas had me run through it with him so many times, that he finally got tired of it. We had to run through it one more time later, just for good measure.
The past week or two we’ve been wrapping things up here in Houston. There’s a lot of “this is the last time we’ll ______.” We hit DoubleDave’s one last time for their great buffet (the chocolate chip pizza was a bit burnt though). We went to the Greenspoint Mall one last time for CiCi’s and the play area there.
Here’s the last time Thomas may put his head into his ice cream bowl at Sweet Tomatoes.
This may be the last time Thomas sits in some girl’s lap he just met at the Memorial City Mall play area (he’s not shy at all).
And this may be the last time Thomas gets to ride the Merry-Go-Round at Memorial City Mall.
We did other things in San Antonio besides SeaWorld.
Thomas kept checking himself out in the mirror.
We stayed at the Hilton resort near SeaWorld. There was a nice courtyard with several fire pits (great for making s’mores!). There were also two pools, a hot tub, then a kiddie area next to the other pools (we missed it the first night).
Catherine jumped in too.
On our way back we went to another Incredible Pizza Company. Catherine rode the merry-go-round.
Thomas really enjoyed Dance Dance Revolution.

Last week we spent three days in San Antonio. We stayed a few miles from SeaWorld, so we took a free shuttle there and back all three days.
Catherine enjoyed looking at fish.
Thomas and Jeannie climbed this rope to get to some tubes that led to different kiddie areas.
It’s hard to see Jeannie, but she’s in there.
I’m getting ready to toss him across the play area.
Jeannie wanted to play too.
